Don Nester Chevy Reviews the 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500

The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is already shaping up to be another solid bestseller for Chevrolet. With 8 different trim models to choose from, there is sure to be a truck to suit your needs. Let’s take a look at each trim level to see exactly what you will be getting with each and which one best suits you.

WT

For the base model 1500, you will get the WT trim level. This model includes a 4.3L EcoTec V6 engine and a 6 speed transmission. You will get a standard Chevrolet graphic grille and tailgate, blacked-out grille/bumpers/trim, and 12 durable standard tie downs to assist in hauling anything you can imagine.

Custom

On the Custom trim level, you will see a reappearance of the 4.3L EcoTec V6 engine and a 6 speed transmission. You will also notice some upgrades as well from the WT in the form of a 7″ color touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, signature LED tail lights, and 20″ silver painted aluminum wheels.

Custom Trail Boss

The next trim level is going to be the Custom Trail Boss and it is made for those looking to use their truck off road more frequently than others. You still get the 4.3L EcoTec an 6 speed transmission, but you get the addition of 4 wheel drive, a 2″ factory suspension lift, the Z71 offroad package, and 18″ black wheels with off road tires.

LT

Stepping into the LT, you will get the choice of a 2.7L turbo engine and 8 speed automatic transmission for increased performance and fuel economy. You will still get many of the same features as the previous trims, but you will get upgrades that include a chrome center bar/bumpers/mirror caps, body color door handles, 17″ bright silver aluminum wheels, LED headlights and LED signature daytime running lights.

RST

The RST trim level is built closely resembling the LT with some very notable upgrades. The 2.7L turbo engine and 8 speed transmission make a return on the RST producing over 300 horsepower. The biggest upgrades on this trim level are going to be keyless entry, remote start, a body color center bar/bumpers/door handles, 18″ wheels, and LED lighting.

LT Trail Boss

For the off-roading type, the LT Trail Boss should catch your eye. This truck receives a powerful Ecotec3 5.3L V8 engine with dynamic fuel management and dual exhaust. It is built for the trails and shows it with a 2″ factory lift, Z71 off road package, 18″ black wheels, off-road tires, and a 2 speed transfer case.

LTZ

The LTZ package is designed for those who want the same power from the Ecotec 5.3L engine, but want a more luxurious truck when compared to the Trail Boss. On this trim level, you will find chrome accents on the center bar, bumpers, mirror caps, door handles and beltline for a classy touch. You will also notice bright silver aluminum 18” wheels, advanced trailering features, and perforated leather-appointed seating.

High Country

If you want the best of the best 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500, look no further than the High Country trim level. Featuring the same 355 horsepower 5.3L Ecotec engine, this truck provides both power and luxury.
