Don Nester Chevy Reviews the 2019 Chevy Tahoe

The Tahoe is a staple in Chevrolet’s vehicle lineup and has been since its release in 1995. Closely resembling the Yukon, the Tahoe has been one of Chevrolet’s top selling full size SUV models for the past 3 decades. The 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe seems to be shaping up the same way with its three different trim levels providing you with three different setups on this SUV. Let’s take a closer look at each trim level and see exactly what comes with each package to determine which would be the best fit for you.

Each trim level is going to feature Chevrolet’s 5.3L Ecotec3 V8 engine that is putting out 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. They will each come with a 6 speed automatic transmission and 3.08 rear gears for great towing. Other standard options include Autotrac 4wd, limited slip differential, and active fuel management.

LS

Starting with the base model Tahoe, we have the LS trim which is the most affordable option on the 2019 Tahoe. The base package is going to set the tone for each level above it as they build upon each other’s features with the base model having the most standard features. Even though the LS trim is the base trim, it has features that would make it seem like a higher level trim. On the LS trim package, you are going to get a Chevrolet Infotainment System, rear backup camera, 18″ wheels, projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, rear park assist, remote start, three zone automatic climate control, and fold-flat second and third row seats.

LT

Moving up to the second trim level on the 2019 Tahoe, we have the LT package. This package is a step above base and a step below the fully loaded Tahoe, making it a favorite among many consumers. This LT will come with many of the same features as the base package, but you will notice some additional upgrades that really set it apart from the LS level.  On the LT trim level, you will get leather appointed seats, a programmable height liftgate, front heated bucket seats with memory settings, a 9 speaker Bose audio system, Lane Keep Assist, low speed auto braking, safety alert seat, power adjustable pedals, Intellibeam automatic high beam headlights, and forward collision alert.

Premier

For those wanting to go all out and purchase the most fully loaded 2019 Tahoe available, the Premier package is going to be the way to go. This trim level is as good as it gets for the 2019 Tahoe and has everything that you could ever want from a full size SUV. While keeping many of the same functions and features as the LT model, it is loaded with new features as well. These new features include: magnetic ride control, keyless entry, push button start, HID headlights, 12 way power adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, unique 20″ wheels, lane change alert, side blind zone alert, fog lights, front and rear park assist, memory power tilt and telescoping steering column, and rear cross traffic alert.
